Student: I am here today to talk about my product Safety Sip. Safety Sip is a cup holder with a headlight attached to it to give it light. This idea came when I was riding, and I got thirsty, and I had to ride all the way home to get a sip of water. I wanted to carry a water bottle and go and ride in the dark at the same time, so we mounted a light on the cup holder.
I went to my Papa's house and showed him my pictures of the product. During the testings that we did ... that we did ... there were only a couple of problems. One, the bottle popped out every time you hit a bump, and number two the light fell over whenever you tried to do a trick. I fixed these two problems by cutting a coozie in half and sticking it in the cup holder to make the bottle stay in secure. Then, to hold the light on, I put ticky-tac on the back of the light to hold it on secure. Retesting proved that my product, my problems for Safety Sip were solved.
I designed the logo by putting Safety Sip and putting two scooters together to make the "T," and to make the "I" in Sip I put a cup with a drop coming out of it.
Does anyone have any questions they would like to ask at this time? Logan?
Logan: Will you make anymore of the scooter?
Student: If it becomes popular I probably will. Justin.
Justin: Well how many people tested it?
Student: Uh, about ten people tested it before I made the revisions. Austin?
Austin: About how, how do you, how are you going to advertise for it?
Student: To advertise I made, I drew a picture of it, put the logo on both sides of the straw, and wrote a little paragraph that says, "Are you thirsty after all that riding? You don't have to be if, not, if you buy my product. Not only will you have a cup holder, you'll have a light too. So sip safe with Safety Sip." In conclusion, oh....
Britney: Who tested the product?
Student: Uh, um some of my friends and family, and I even tested it and told them one of the problems that was wrong with it. Josh?
Josh: Um, who do you think would be the consumers?
Student: Consumers would probably be kids about my age. Adults probably wouldn't, probably wouldn't be in good shape to ride it. Austin?
Austin: How much are you going to sell it for, and how did they test it?
Student: I am going to sell it for about $20, $25, and I let them test it by riding it around or even looking at it. In conclusion, I would like to say that my product is a big success. Thank you all for listening to me today.
